About William

William is a lawyer at the Aboriginal Legal Service, where he runs the appeals practice, assists on policy and advises on complex matters for the organisation. Previous experience include practising as a Senior Solicitor with the prosecution services division of the WA Police and as a state prosecutor with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutionss on matters in the Children’s Court of Western Australia.

In 2011 he was awarded Young Criminal Lawyer of the Year by the Criminal Lawyers Association and has presented seminars to the Legal Aid summer series conference and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions on the Children’s Court.
