About David

David has a practice that covers both non-contentious and contentious matters. In addition to being a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the High Court of Australia, David is a registered Trade Marks Attorney.

Non-contentious matters include advising on intellectual property strategies, applying for trade mark protection, undertaking intellectual property audits and due diligence for sales, preparing transfer documentation and advising on employment agreements where they concern intellectual property assets.

Contentious matters include cases concerning the ownership of inventions, trade mark and patent oppositions, the enforcement of intellectual property rights including patents, trade marks (registered and unregistered), copyright and designs, the ownership and enforcement of confidentiality obligations and cases concerning matters of a technical nature.
