Journal of Contract Law

The Journal of Contract Law is a leading international journal addressing current and developing issues relating to the law of contract and its place in private law. The Journal publishes high-quality contributions from scholars and professionals. It includes doctrinal, theoretical and empirical work addressing both broader themes and issues in contract, as well as particular developments arising on a case-by-case basis. The Journal aims to present a diversity of views on cutting-edge developments in contract practice and contract theory.

The Journal of Contract Law offers a perspective on important components of both private law and commercial practice. The Journal publishes:

  • original research articles;
  • short case notes; and
  • book reviews.

The Journal aims to be a critical resource for judges, academics, professionals and students. It focuses on the common law of contract, but submissions addressing contract issues across other jurisdictions are considered. Works on jurisdiction-specific codes are only published if of wider significance. A key focus of the Journal is publishing and promoting research that assists courts and practitioners in dealing with contract law problems.
