Never miss an important case with Lexis Argument Analyser’s new co-citation recommendations

Lexis Argument Analyser has added a new co-citation feature, which together with the existing case recommendations, will help you identify the key cases in your matter faster. Co-citations are cases that are commonly cited together or that share many common citations.

Upon entering a passage into Lexis Argument Analyser for analysis, users can now view co-citation recommendations for each case in their passage by toggling the ‘show recommended co-citations’ button in the Cited Cases tab. Beneath each co-citation recommendation is a relationship statement indicating the number of times the recommended case has been cited together with the user’s case and/or the number of common citations they share. Clicking on the relationship statements will display the instances where the cases have been cited together or the common citations between them.

The co-citation recommendations are specific to each case cited in the uploaded passage whereas the existing case recommendations are generated from an analysis of the entire passage, including all the cited cases, legislation, salient facts and legal issues. Between the two, you can have confidence that you won’t overlook a key case in your matter.
