LexisNexis Pacific CEO, a 'Stella Fella'
TJ Viljoen will don a bowtie on Stella Fella Friday (August 16) to raise funds and awareness to combat human trafficking.
LexisNexis® Pacific has been a major supporter of PROJECT FUTURES, a not-for-profit organisation globally combating human trafficking and sexual exploitation since their inception in 2009.
LexisNexis CEO, TJ Viljoen will again take part in PROJECT FUTURES' 'Stella Fella Friday' on August 16th by wearing a bow tie to showcase his support for the 2013 Stella Fella campaign, the proceeds of which will raise funds for anti-human trafficking projects in Australia through the Salvation Army.
"Stella Fella Friday is the day we celebrate the men in our lives; the unsung heroes, the quiet achievers and the 'nice guys'. By wearing a bow tie on August 16, we send a message to men everywhere; it's time to step up and accept the challenge of becoming a role model in the community and bring an end to exploitation," said Stephanie Lorenzo, Founder and CEO of PROJECT FUTURES.
"LexisNexis are one of our biggest corporate advocates. TJ believed in PROJECT FUTURES from the very beginning and saw the potential of what his company could bring to the issue of human trafficking as one way to advance the rule of law on a daily basis," said Lorenzo.
"Our partnership with PROJECT FUTURES not only provides an outlet for the business to act responsibly, but exposes our employees to these real issues and allows them to get involved on an individual level through our LNCares committee or by taking volunteer leave," said Viljoen. "I definitely expect to see LexisNexis employees trade in their ties for bowties on Stella Fella Friday."
