Dr Catherine Robinson

PhD, J.D., GCertTdLrnHEd, B.Pharm

Dr Robinson is the General Editor of the Insolvency Law Bulletin published by Lexis Nexis. Catherine completed her PhD at the University of Adelaide on the topic of insolvency practitioner regulation under the Insolvency Law Reform Act 2016 (Cth) with an award of Deans Commendation for Doctoral Thesis Excellence. Catherine has published and presented on this topic internationally, and was called as a witness to the 2023 Parliamentary Joint Committee on Corporations and Financial Services Inquiry into Corporate Insolvency in Australia. Her funded research has focused on Insolvency Practitioners and Strengths-Based Regulation, Insolvency law reform, consumer repeat Bankruptcy, and the Framework under the Bankruptcy Act 1966 (Cth). Catherine is also the co-author of Understanding Company Law 22nd Edition (Thomson Reuters, 2024).
