What is a Smart Precedent?
A Smart Precedent is an online service that permits you to create legal documents by simply answering a number of online interview questions related to your legal matter and then downloading a completed document.
Can I save an interview in progress and resume it later?
Yes. During the interview progress click on the Save button and your current answers will be stored on locally. Later when you restart the Smart Precedent interview you can click on the Load Interview button to load your previous answers and continue the interview.
What is the meaning of “Remaining Downloads”?
At the end of a Smart Precedent interview, you download your completed document in either Word of PDF format. Your purchase of the Smart Precedent will let you do this a certain amount of times within a certain time. After you have used up your download limit, your access to the Smart Precedent will expire.
“Remaining downloads” is simply the number of unused downloads that are still available to you at any time.
Once you have used all your downloads, you must once again purchase the Smart Precedent from the e-Store to download further documents.
(Note: When you download a document a copy is also sent to your email address, just in case you misplace your document)
What is the meaning of “Time Remaining for Downloads”?
Your purchase of the Smart Precedent will give you access to the interview (and ability to download completed documents) for a certain amount of time (or until you use up your allowed downloads). After you have used up your download limit, your access to the Smart Precedent will expire. ‘Time Remaining for Downloads’ is simply how long you have left to continue using the interview (assuming that you don’t use up your downloads first).
After this time, you will need to return to the e-Store to purchase access to the Smart Precedent once again.
