About Allira

Allira is currently a Senior Associate with the Firm of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys, Shelston IP.

Allira is a member of the mechanical engineering team, specialising in the provision of commercially relevant advice regarding patents and registered designs. Her experience includes drafting patent specifications, prosecution of patent and design applications, handling opposition proceedings, as well as the provision of validity and infringement advice

Allira’s technical expertise spans a range of engineering-related sectors, including: agricultural technologies, building systems and construction; robotics and related control systems; sustainable technologies; manufacturing; sporting technologies; and nanosensors. She also has a particularly keen interest in healthcare, acquiring expertise in research, product development and regulatory approval of active implantable medical devices while working outside the patent profession and complements this practical experience with significant patent experience in this technology area.

In addition, Allira is currently completing a Master of Business Administration (Technology) with the University of New South Wales and utilises this acquired knowledge to provide highly relevant advice.
