About Michael

Michael leads the blockchain and digital currency practice group at Maddocks. The group has worked on projects including a user content blockchain project, cryptocurrency exchange operations and cryptocurrency loan agreements. Michael has also contributed to a number of publications on blockchain and cryptocurrency regulation in Australia, including co-author of the Australian regulatory framework chapter in "Understanding Digital Tokens".

Michael also has extensive experience in negotiating bilateral and syndicated loan and security agreements, documenting swap transactions, managing cross-border issues and overseas legal counsel. On the financier side, he has advised each of the big four Australian banks, many other Australian and international banks, property financiers and financial advisers and arrangers. On the borrower side, he has advised publicly listed companies, property developers, private equity funds, infrastructure sponsors and other companies in the health, resources and entertainment sectors.
