About Tom

Tom has particular experience acting in commercial contractual disputes, competition litigation actions conducted under Part IV of the Competition and Consumer Act (2010) (Cth) (CCA), including cartel conduct, misuse of market power and exclusive dealing, consumer law actions under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), including misleading or deceptive and unconscionable conduct, shareholder disputes, advising on and acting in disputes under the Franchising Code of Conduct, acting claims against directors and related issues under the Corporations Act (2001) (Cth), negligence claims and in administrative law matters.

Tom has acted for clients across a broad range of sectors including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), technology, manufacturing, energy and telecommunications.

Tom has represented and advised both the ACCC and private clients in relation to competition and consumer law issues, including merger clearances, responding to s 155 notices and enforcement actions under Part IV of the CCA and the ACL.
