About Ruth

Ruth is a Senior Associate in the Sydney team of the Workplace Relations group. Ruth has considerable experience advising clients across a range of employment and industrial law matters. These matters include issues arising under relevant legislation including the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth), the Workplace Relations Act and discrimination legislation. Ruth also regularly advises clients in relation to termination of employment, damages, the intersection of insolvency and employment law, contractual disputes, bullying and discrimination issues.

Ruth has provided advice to a range of leading Australian companies in the industries of telecommunications, fast moving consumer goods, services and mining. In addition, she has conducted a broad range of litigious matters for employers at a State and Federal level, the District Court, the Supreme Court, the Federal Court and the Federal Magistrates Court. This has included appearing on behalf of clients before Fair Work Australia, the Australian Human Rights Commission and the Administrative Decisions Tribunal in matters concerning unfair dismissal and discrimination.

Ruth is currently completing a Master of Laws at Sydney University, specialising in workplace bargaining, discrimination law and executive employment.
