Mark D’Arcangelo

General Counsel – Asia Pacific, Computershare Limited; Practical Guidance In-house Consulting Editorial Board member

Since 2011, Mark has worked as an in-house counsel at Computershare Limited, which is a global market leader in share registration, transfer agency, employee equity plans, stakeholder communications and related services.  In 2019, he was appointed general counsel of Computershare’s Australian and New Zealand (ANZ) legal team and, more recently, has assumed the role of Computershare’s General Counsel for AsiaPac. Mark is responsible for providing strategic legal advice across all areas of Computershare’s business units in the Asia-Pacific region and is a member of Computershare’s Global Legal Leadership team and regional executive team in ANZ.  His other key responsibilities include: developing legal strategy to support the delivery of corporate, regulatory and business unit objectives across the region, overseeing critical contract negotiations and acting as company secretary for all Australian based subsidiaries of the Computershare group. Before joining Computershare, Mark worked for ANZ Bank as a corporate lawyer in the bank’s retail products division. He started his career at Blake Dawson Waldron (now Ashurst) as a litigator, working on one of Australia’s largest and longest-running disputes, the Bell Group Litigation.
