Dr Darryl O’Brien

Dr. Darryl O'Brien is Chair of the Graduate Diploma of Building Surveying at Victoria University, lecturer in building surveying at Victoria university, a private building consultant based in Qld and acts as a subject matter expert for select government departments. Prior to this, Darryl was Director of Technical and Regulation at the Victorian Building Authority and was a built environment lecturer and Head of Course for CQUniversity. Darryl holds Undergraduate degrees in Building Surveying and Building Design and Postgraduate qualifications include a PhD, Masters Environmental Planning and Graduate Certificates in Tertiary Education and Urban Planning. Darryl is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors and past QLD NT Vice President, former member of the AIBS QLD State Executive Committee, AIBS National Technical Committee and AIBS National Education Committee.
