About Ben

Ben Majoe, Special Counsel, in the Family Law division at HHG Legal Group, is experienced in complex property settlement and parenting matters.

Ben’s extensive experience includes acting for clients in matters involving complex financial issues (married and de facto partners), contentious child related issues, financial agreements and binding child support agreements. Ben uses family mediation as an alternative means of resolving disputes, but is an experienced advocate with a history of achieving positive outcomes for his clients.

Before joining HHG Legal Group in 2015, Ben built a strong 20-year career practicing in areas of Family Law and Insurance Defense. He has an impressive background of international legal experience having practised in private firms in Hawaii for a number of years. These positions saw him resolve child related matters, including interstate relocation and restraining order matters, in addition to insurance defence matters, including wrongful death claims.

Ben was admitted to the High Court of Australia in 2011 and Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2006; prior to which he was admitted to the State and Federal Courts in Hawaii in 1995 – shortly before he began his legal career. Highly qualified with Honours in a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Political Science and Government from the University of California, Ben also has a Juris Doctor from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
