Intellectual Property Precedents
Practice Area: Intellectual Property
Description: IPPR is a single volume service aiming to provide practitioners with a detailed set of intellectual property precedents to eliminate the need to search across numerous products to locate the specific precedent needed. The precedents are divided into a number of chapters concentrating on the precedents needed when involved in particular transactional topics such as Science and Technology Commercialisation (trade secrets and confidential information), Brand Management (assignments and licences), Entertainment, Media and Copyright Agreements (covering film, artistic works, dramatic works and music, including talent release forms, location agreements etc), Technology Contracts (including employee and contractor agreements and multimedia agreements), Litigation Precedents and General Intellectual Property Agreements (which essentially covers various licences).
Each subject area is introduced by way of practical introductory notes that provide a concise overview of each subject; explain the purpose of each precedent and how it should be used; gives the user suggestions as to the extent to which the precedents should be tailored and highlights important clauses; includes IP-specific practice tips such as factors that might be necessary to make the agreement legally enforceable; and where relevant, highlights relevant sections of legislation.
