Australian Administrative Law
The majority of commentary in Australian Administrative Law resides under the heading 'The Commonwealth Administrative Review System' — which consists of more than 1000 pages in the print version of this work, and is broken up into eight chapters: (1) The Commonwealth Administrative Review System: Introduction; (2) Administrative Appeals Tribunal; (3) Administrative Decisions (Judicial Review) Act 1977; (4) Judicial Review: Other Remedies; (5) Commonwealth Ombudsman; (6) Administrative Review Council; (7) Freedom of Information; (8) Privacy. The author is Lex Holcombe, who was a partner at HWL Ebsworth Lawyers from 2011-2020 and DLA Philips Fox from 2005-2011. The remainder of the work mostly consists of unannotated but all-important legislation relating to Commonwealth administrative law, and extracts from other relevant federal legislation. The Australian Administrative Law Bulletin (which come free with a subscription to Australian Administrative Law) includes recent developments and case digests from various jurisdictions.
