LexisNexis response to the Statement from the High Court of Australia concerning the Hon Dyson Heydon, AC, QC.
SYDNEY, 29 June, 2020 – LexisNexis is extremely concerned by the allegations of sexual harassment made against former High Court Justice the Hon Dyson Heydon, AC, QC, including as disclosed in the High Court of Australia’s statement last week, in multiple media reports and the recent announcement of an investigation by the Attorney-General’s department.
There is no place for harassment, victimisation and bullying of any form in the workplace or the community. We acknowledge the challenges faced by all victims of sexual harassment. We commend the bravery of the women who have come forward, and the actions announced by the High Court and other bodies within the profession to address the broader issue of harassment and discrimination in the law.
