High demand for accurate information in the construction industry
New online and digital commentary service for the changing field of construction law
Construction law is a fast changing field with a high demand for accurate information. In New Zealand, this has been especially driven by a boom in the construction industry in Auckland and Christchurch. To meet the needs of contractors, construction professionals and lawyers, LexisNexis has launched a new online and digital commentary: Kennedy-Grant and Weatherall on Construction Law.
The service contains commentary on statutory controls, the impacts of tort of negligence, construction contracts, subcontracts, supply contracts and dispute resolution. Furthermore, it covers the Building Amendment Act and provides commentary on recent cases and legislation. The service expands regularly for further practicality. The Construction Contracts Amendment Bill changes, for example, will be included once enacted.
The commentary is part of the LexisNexis SmartOffice Research solution and available online via the LNNZ platform. From 2016, it will also be released in digital format on LexisNexis Red, which is accessible without an internet connection.
