Prestigious Annual Index of Leading Trans-Tasman Legal Innovators extended to individuals as well as organisations

The 2015 Legal Innovation Index is now open for entry, inviting leading legal innovators across Australia and New Zealand to submit their market-changing projects and strategies for consideration for this year's list of Trans-Tasman industry game changers.

For the first time, individual innovators can enter as well as legal firms and in-house legal departments. Individuals can include academics, teachers, knowledge managers, business development managers, practice managers, technology officers, students, lawyers and in-house counsel.

Last year's Index named Clearpoint Counsel, Hive Legal, Keypoint Law, LegalVision, nest legal and the Nexus Law Group as the leading industry innovators. Receiving a Highly Commended award in 2014 were Australia's Coote Family Lawyers, JRT Partnership, KWS Legal, Turnbull Hill Lawyers and New Zealand's Chen Palmer and Simmonds Stewart.

Judged by innovation and legal experts from Australia and around the world, the 2015 Legal Innovation Index will be announced 20 August 2015, For the third year, the Index has been created by LexisNexis® Pacific, a leading provider of content and technology solutions; and Janders Dean, an independent management consultancy company.

"Every year the standard of innovation we see from both legal firms and in-house counsel grows exponentially", explains Jo Beckett, General Manager of LexisNexis Australia. "We are thrilled to extend the Index to include individual innovators this year and recognise the amazing advancements people are making in the academic, practical and technical law fields".

"We believe that recognising innovation in the legal industry is an important factor in promoting continued change and evolution, and ultimately supports the Pacific region's continued global leadership in law," says Justin North, Director, Janders Dean. "Through the creation of these awards, we've had the privilege of witnessing a number of firms who push the boundaries and break from tradition."
