8 July 2013
Partners from small and medium–sized law firms put aside textbooks and case law to attend the LexisNexis–sponsored LawPath seminar, "Growing Your Personal Brand as a Lawyer"
LexisNexis® Pacific a leading provider of content and technology solutions, has today announced it will partner with innovative Australian company LawPath, an online legal service that connects lawyers to warm client leads, to host a complimentary networking event and seminar for lawyers on how to grow their personal brand. The session, "Grow Your Personal Brand", will be held on 30 July at The Establishment in Sydney at 5:00pm.
"As branding becomes an increasingly significant factor in law firm marketing strategies, so too are lawyers' personal brands, particularly in the online sphere," said TJ Viljoen, CEO of LexisNexis Pacific.
"It is our corporate responsibility to enlighten the legal industry with expert advice. This event will give attendees the opportunity to hear from those who have built remarkable personal brands for themselves and enable them to do the same for themselves."
"Every day we work with solicitors to help them build their practices. We see some lawyers who are great at promoting their own personal brand and some who could do with some assistance," said Paul Lupson, CEO of online legal referral site LawPath.
Channel 7's Sunrise Presenter David Koch and World Ironman Champion and Businessman Guy Leech will discuss how they developed their personal profiles with the assistance of targeted strategies, relationship building, and the power of personal and social networking.
This event will give attendees the opportunity to hear from those who have built remarkable personal brands for themselves and enable them to do the same for themselves.
Kirsten Hodgston, author of LinkedIn for Lawyers, will explain how to harness social media to generate new leads for your business and brand ambassadors to enhance your personal profile.
"Law schools do not teach the sort of skills that David Koch and Guy Leech have — this will be a unique opportunity to learn from the best," Lupson continued. "'The Anchorman' and 'The Ironman' are going to give the lawyers new insight into how to supercharge their practices and we hope that LawPath can provide some accelerant."
Fast growing company, LawPath, helps individuals and small/medium businesses find the right solicitor and, in turn, LawPath helps solicitors by connecting them to warm client leads. With more than 90 solicitors on the platform, LawPath is growing its solicitor base daily as well as connecting, on average, six new client opportunities to solicitors each day.
"We are excited work with LawPath, a company that represents our own commitment to innovation, to co-host this special event," said Viljoen.
