Enterprise solutions provider LexisNexis has been awarded the contract to deliver Crown Law Tasmania' s new practice management system.

SYDNEY, June 13, 2014: LexisNexis,a leading provider of content and technology solutions, announced today that it has signed a contract with the Department of Justice of Tasmania to provide Crown Law Tasmania with a robust Practice Management System.

The industry-acclaimed Lexis Visualfiles system, with its powerful workflow engine has been selected as the preferred solution to support the improvement of Crown Law's Business Processes. Due to its ease of integration with key internal software products, Lexis Visualfiles will enable Crown Law to leverage off existing technology investments. In addition, integration with 3rd party external departments will further drive efficiencies in communication and work practices.

"Crown Law Tasmania is made up of five distinct legal practices, each of which has differing data and practice management requirements. LexisNexis demonstrated the capability to deliver a system which could address the differing needs of all five legal practices yet still provide a coherent and effective management tool for the whole of Crown Law" said Kerry Worsley, the Acting Director of Crown Law Tasmania Because of LexisNexis' experience in successfully developing large scale matter and case management solutions for many large Corporate and Government Departments to dramatically increase productivity and process improvement, Lexis Visualfiles will be implemented to support the business needs of multiple services with Tasmania's Department of Justice, including: the Office of the Solicitor-General, the Office of the Crown Solicitor, and the three practice groups of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions namely the Criminal, Civil and Child Protection Divisions.

"We are extremely pleased to have been given the opportunity to support Crown Law Tasmania's needs for process improvement with the implementation of Lexis Visualfiles, our large scale enterprise solution", said James Parker, Executive Manager Practice Management at LexisNexis.

"LexisVisualfiles is a proven, low risk, functionally rich and highly flexible workflow matter management solution. It is clear that its rapid application development toolkit is a plus when it comes to deployment within large scale organisations like Crown Law. "

"Our experience in working within with similar sized government departments and capacity to adapt to their changing requirements has firmly established Lexis Visualfiles as a solution of choice to provide operational efficiencies within both large Corporates and Governments in the Pacific Region" said Parker.
