Kerry Murphy

Kerry is a partner with his wife Lisa D’Ambra in their firm D’Ambra Murphy Lawyers in Sydney.  The firm was set up in 2006. Kerry is an accredited specialist in Immigration Law. Kerry graduated in Arts and Law, then he completed a Masters of Arts in Medieval Studies and subsequently a Masters of International Social Development. He formerly was the Australian co-ordinator of the Jesuit Refugee Service for 3 years and has been a solicitor since 1987.  Kerry has worked with refugees in various capacities for nearly 30 years.

Their firm is a specialist immigration and refugee law practice, from primary applications through to judicial review.

He also presents lectures and seminars for the Migration Institute of Australia (MIA) and the graduate certificate in Migration Law at the ACU, and previously at the ANU.

Kerry has written over 100 articles on immigration, refugee and human rights issues for various publications. He was a board member of the Immigration Advice and Rights Centre (IARC) and the Jesuit Refugee Service Australia.
