Dr Warwick A Rothnie

BA (Hons), LLB (Hons), PhD

Warwick is a Barrister practising in all aspects of intellectual property law as well as commercial law, appearing mainly in the Federal Courts and before IP Australia.

He is a World Intellectual Property Organization, Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) panellist and formed part of the Copyright Law Review Committee for the Jurisdiction of the Copyright Tribunal April 1999-April 2000 and Inquiry into Copyright and Contract April 2001–April 2002.

Warwick is also a Senior Fellow at Monash University teaching Designs Law and Practice and in 2012 and 2013, Copyright Law.

He was admitted to practice in 1986 and signed the Bar Roll in 2002. Prior to coming to the Bar, Warwick was a partner at Mallesons Stephen Jaques.
