Angela Wood

Angela has specialist experience in the health, aged care and retirement village sectors of the healthcare industry as well as in the disability and community services sectors. Her clients include a range of public, private and not-for-profit healthcare providers throughout Australia. Angela also has expertise in the higher education and vocational education and training sectors.

Angela has acted on a number of negotiated transactions as well as advising on corporate governance, regulatory issues, privacy, contracting and outsourcing of management and services and risk management. Angela also has extensive experience in advising on and developing policies and procedures and conducting training in key areas of law including privacy, capacity and consent and medication management. She has also acted for education providers advising on their regulatory framework.

Angela is currently a committee member of the Northern Sydney Local Health District Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and Macquarie University, Health Sciences HREC. Before practising law, Angela had experience in the health and community services sector as a practising psychologist.

Prior to joining Maddocks, Angela practised at Ashurst.
