Q What is going on and what do I need to know?

A In response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic many businesses are switching primarily to remote working to protect their employees. LexisNexis recognizes that print is still a key resource for our customers, but is not suited to remote working. LexisNexis is offering our customers free access to their print works on Lexis Advance or Lexis Red, where available, during this period of significant turmoil.

Given the significant change in how we are meeting customer needs during this challenging time, some processes and responses may take slightly longer to achieve than normal SLAs. We request that you bear with us and let your customer know that it may take longer to resolve these issues than we would normally expect.

Q How do I get access to print-only titles in digital formats?

A To gain access to print titles on Lexis Advance or Lexis Red, please complete the form located on our website here. If you wish to access more than 7 titles, please contact your account manager for additional details.

A The Offer is available to new and existing customers, who:

  • Purchase or have purchased current editions of hard copy books prior to 30 March 2020; and

LexisNexis has no obligation to grant access under the Offer to any individual customer, for any specific title or for any specific period. Any access granted under the Offer will expire on 13 December 2020, unless extended by LexisNexis in its absolute discretion.

Access is not available to all titles or in all electronic formats, and the format made available to the customer will be determined by LexisNexis in its absolute discretion. LexisNexis may, in its absolute discretion, decide to grant, revoke or suspend access to a customer at any time.

For titles made available via Lexis Red or eBook, a maximum of 3 loan titles will be made available for each hard copy book purchased.

Due to licensing restrictions, we will not be able to offer digital access for some print titles and / or the length of free access will be restricted. We are continuing to work with our content partners to make these available in digital formats, but this may not be possible.

Q How soon I customers get access to these digital formats?

A We are aiming to give you access to digital formats within 72 hours of a request being made with all required documentation. Please note that if demand is greater than expected it may take us longer to process the request and we request that you bear with us.
