The New WA Duties Act 2008

The Duties Act 2008 received royal assent on 14 April 2008 and came into force on 1 July 2008. The Act is a complete rewrite of the Stamp Act 1921. It adopts a new transaction based approach to make the Western Australian duties legislation more consistent with the duties legislation in most other Australian jurisdictions.
