Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate Communications
Donald Welsko is Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate Communications for the risk solutions business of LexisNexis®. LexisNexis Risk Solutions – with reported revenue of 1.5 billion in 2012 and more than 3300 employees – is a global leader in providing essential information that helps customers across all industries and government assess, predict and manage risk. In his role, Welsko leads the development and implementation of all Human Resources strategies that help drive revenue growth, customer satisfaction and employee engagement for the organization.
Welsko joined LexisNexis in 2008, and spearheaded the employee integration strategy for the $4 billion dollar acquisition of ChoicePoint, commencing an integration that nearly quintupled the size of the business unit. As head of Human Resources, he oversaw Recruiting, Compensation, Talent Development and the HR Business Unit Generalists. In 2011, Welsko added oversight of Internal Communications, Community Relations and LexisNexis’ CARES, a company-wide community outreach program for employees. In 2013, his responsibilities were expanded to include oversight of the Human Resources function of LexisNexis’ sister company, Reed Business Information (RBI). RBI earned revenue of 900 million in 2012, with more than 3800 employees around the world. In January 2014, Welsko assumed responsibility of the Risk Public Relations function.
With more than twenty years of operating and executive human resources experience, Welsko has held positions with PepsiCo (Frito Lay), General Electric (GE Capital), Sears, The Limited, and Philips Electronics. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Atlanta and North Fulton Chamber of Commerce organizations.
Welsko holds a BS degree in Industrial & Labor Relations from Cornell University, an MBA from Jacksonville University, and the SPHR designation from the Human Resource Certification Institute.
