Important Communication for IT Departments - Change of IP Address

LexisNexis AU currently utilises an enhancement/acceleration service. This service will migrate to a new platform on the 22nd September 2007.

It is envisioned that this migration will be seamless for most of our customers. However, if your IT department has hardcoded the existing IP Address of this service in your system, the new IP address range will also have to be added to ensure access to LexisNexis AU.

Maintenance Upgrade 15 September 2007

In line with our commitment to delivering the most advanced, comprehensive online legal research platform in Australia, LexisNexis AU has scheduled a maintenance upgrade for the 15th September, 2007.

This upgrade will add the following features to LexisNexis AU:

  • Enhanced Visibility

The Name Selected Sources and Save as Favourite control options in the Source Directory have been moved from the bottom of the screen to a more visible location at the top of the page.

  • Removal of Unused Tabs

You’ll find LexisNexis AU even easier to navigate with the removal of the practice area tab when the practice area pages are not available. This improvement means that the interface is less cluttered and remains customised for your individual needs.

  • Ability to Run a Saved Search Without Saving Your Changes

This improvement allows you to save time by modifying your existing search without replacing the original saved search. Your favourite searches are now always available and can be modified slightly, when required, for a faster searching capability.

Enhancements to LexisNexis AU have been specifically developed with the Australian end-user in mind. They reflect our commitment to providing easy-to-use and flexible solutions through continuous improvement and innovation.


Introducing the LexisNexis AU Enhancement Program

We have listened to your feedback and are pleased to introduce the LexisNexis AU Enhancement Program. This program aims to improve your experience on LexisNexis AU. The program involves a number of steps which address the specific issues identified by you through customer surveys, advisory panels, focus groups and issues logged through our Helpline.

Step One – Usability Program

The Usability Program is specifically designed to simplify the LexisNexis AU user interface. This initial step is focussed on making the current interface simpler and more intuitive to use.

We have sought input, from a range of customers, to identify common usage patterns and asked for guidance on preliminary concepts. As we move forward we will continue to engage some of you for the validation of proposed enhancements.
