June "Reminder"

We’ve continued to listen to your feedback. On 22 June 2008 there will be several changes to the LexisNexis AU online research solution; these will make your research experience even easier and save you time.

Here is an overview of the planned changes for 22 June 2008:

LexisNexis AU Design Enhancement

We are very pleased to announce our LexisNexis AU visual enhancement which occurred on the 26th April 2008. This enhancement resulted in an interface which is more intuitive and easier-to-use enabling you to arrive at your search results even faster.

Over the past year we have conducted Customer Advisory Sessions to understand what you would like to see change on LexisNexis AU to enhance your experience. This visual enhancement incorporated many of the changes you suggested with further developments to come throughout 2008.

The maintenance upgrade for 26th April 2008 included:

Core Visual Redesign for LexisNexis AU
New Homepage for Less Frequent Visitors
Search Form Order Improved
Combined Commentary and Services Tab
Addition of the Source Tray Functionality

Deep linking – how to update your deep links

For clients who use our deep linking tool for the individual services on the Services Tab, e.g. Cross on Evidence, it was necessary to reset your deep links. Deep links for all other tabs were not affected by this change.

How to Update

Only deep links for sources that appear on the Services Tab (click here for full list) were affected, if you haven't already we suggest you update these deep links using one of three options:

Regenerate - you can regenerate the links by using the deep link tool located here. The deep linking tool has been updated to include the new correct links. Once the link has been regenerated you can replace the current link on your intranet with the new link.
Search and Replace - if you have a lot of deep links to Services Tab products, then a search and replace across the html source data can be performed. Simply search across the source data for the text:

06STSrv
And replace it with:

03STCmtry

For example

http://www.lexisnexis.com/au/legal/api/version1/sf?sfi=AU06STSrvSrch&csi=267897&shr=t

will become
http://www.lexisnexis.com/au/legal/api/version1/sf?sfi=AU03STCmtrySrch&csi=267897&shr=t
