Meetings of holders of prescribed interests

[23.12] The Managed Investments Act 1998 (Cth) has replaced Divs 5 and 5A of Pt 7.12 of the Corporations Law with a new Ch 5C, and ‘prescribed interests’ with ‘managed investments’. Complementary amendments have been made by the Company Law Review Act 1998 (Cth), which has inserted a new Pt 2G.4 into the Corporations Law governing the meetings of members of registered investment schemes. The new provisions are comprehensive and based on those applicable to meetings of public companies. However, they are too lengthy and detailed to be included in this Supplement.
