For the past 10 years John Carter has been Professor of Commercial Law at the University of Sydney and since 1992 he has acted as a consultant to Freehills. He is the author of several highly regarded works in contract and restitution and has taught contract law for 25 years. He has an international reputation and has published in many leading journals and held numerous international appointments and is the General Editor of the Journal of Contract Law.
