• LexisNexis Australia Pty Ltd
  Many of the LexisNexis resources are available in online databases through your university library. Visit the LexisNexis website to see why we have a reputation as Australia’s leading legal information provider. Read FREE daily breaking parliamentary news and latest high court cases.
• Austlii
  Australian Legal Information Institute. Online and free access to Australasian legal materials. Austlii is a valued source of legal material on the net, covering legislation, cases, bills and certain law journals.

Government & Regulatory

• Australian Bureau of Statistics
  A useful site to gather statistical information.
• Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority
  This organisation is the regulator of the financial services industry. Here you can access copies of legislation as well as statistics that can help you in your studies.
• The Australian Securities Investment Commission
  They have information of interest to financial service professionals, auditors, liquidators and companies. They also provide information on managed investment schemes. Use the site search function (Advice_Report 18) to find Report 18: Survey on the quality of financial planning advice: Feb 2003.
• Australian Securities Exchange
  This site provides a wealth of free information and opportunities to learn more about investment and shares. See the media centre for current information.
• Australian Taxation Office (government site)
  The most current tax information is available here including forms, calculator tools and rulings and policies. This is a comprehensive site providing valuable information
• Centrelink (Australian Government Social Security Administration)
  See “publications” to understand the range of information that you can access in relation to this subject area.
• Department of Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs
  There is a lot of information including publications and legislation. This includes links to the Office for Women publications.
• Reserve Bank of Australia
  See the publication and research section to understand the range of information that can be gathered from this site.
• The Australian Federal Treasury
  You will find government policy and also the parliamentary aspects of taxation.

Professional Associations

• Institute of Chartered Accountants
  This provides good general information on the practice of accounting including news and events.
• CPA Australia (Chartered Accountants)
  Visit the site and see interesting information for your research and also career planning.
• Financial Planning Association of Australia Limited
  A useful source to catch up with current media stories.
• National Institute of Accountants
  This is a professional organisation for accountants. The media centre has current news relevant to its members.
• The Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia Ltd
  This is a non-profit, non-political organisation who want to protect and promote the interests of Australia’s Superannuation funds, their trustees and their members. Some interesting tools and information is available using ASFA Super Guru

• The Financial Review Smart Investor
  This provides a good source of media articles relevant to this subject area.

  This is a United States media organisation that is a rich source of financial information.

Consumer Advice

• Choice; Consumer Association
  The organisation provides expert advice to consumers. They test a range of product and services including those provided by banking and investment organisations.
• Infochoice
  is an organisation that provides tools and information to support consumers making informed choices about banking and investment products. They provide a range of interesting tools to help make more informed choices.

International Organisations

Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development
This provides interesting and current statistics.
